Camerata was a weekly music and art event that I created with a couple of my friends. It was a place where I could showcase my bands and my talented friends. It started in March of 2008, and continued every week, for 200 weeks. It originally started with a residency from my group the Devil’s Orchestra (which last for 72 weeks), and then the residency was handed to Young the Giant (under the name “The Jakes” at the time), followed by groups such as Rival Sons, Dead Sara, Kiev, Skrillex, Vanaprasta, White Arrows, the Axis of Awesome, the Growlers, the Germs, Tommy Lee, DJ Aero, my groups (Symphonic Circles, Dirty Murdered Birds, Pluto, Rob Roy, etc.) and far too many more to list. We had drum battles, live artists, projectionists, any medium of art really. A place to discover new artists and leave inspired. I put Camerata on hiatus when I left on the 2 year run with Christina Perri, but we’re working on future plans for a return soon. Stay posted for updates.
